Jamie McCart spoke to iFollow Barnsley after our 2-0 victory over Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon at Oakwell.
"Delighted to get my first start in the league and get out there."
The Scottish defender made his league debut for the Reds against the Brewers, keeping a clean sheet at the first time of asking.
McCart was pleased with his inclusion in the starting eleven and felt the Reds delivered an assured performance on home soil.
"I'm very happy," began the 26-year-old. "Obviously, delighted to get my first start in the league and get out there. I think it was a very good performance, a very controlled performance from everyone. Burton came here to try and frustrate us. I think we did very well to break them down once we got going. A very good day all round."
