Since his arrival in January 2024, it has been an eventful start to life at Oakwell for our American centre-back.
Sitting down to talk with iFollow Barnsley, Pines - complete with a trademark grin on his face - sat proudly with his March monthly awards.
Following the news of an injury which will see the defender miss the rest of the campaign, Pines spoke at length about his time so far in South Yorkshire and the injury he sustained.
"The ball was kicked and I was running with the striker," he explained. "It felt like the striker hit my quad and I still out-ran him to the ball. The ball then ran out of bounds and I just felt sore. I keep playing, keep playing and I thought it was just a knock. But it wasn't going away. I've never really had anything like this before, it was really odd."
