We had an exclusive chat with Donovan Pines for iFollow Barnsley after he put pen to paper for the Reds.
Signing until 2025, with a further year option in the favour of the Club, the centre-back arrives at Oakwell looking to make his mark this side of the pond for the first time in his career.
His professional breakthrough came with D.C United in the MLS, spending four years with the Black-And-Red including a spell playing with and under England legend, Wayne Rooney.
Now, the 6'5" defender is looking to bring his commanding presence to the English game and help us achieve our goals on the pitch.
"I'm ready to tackle another challenge," Pines told us. "I've always wanted to play in English football and I want to see how good I am compared to these players. How I can match myself against them and do the best I can. It's Barnsley, and I'm really excited to be here."
