JAMES NORWOOD
The Reds brought proven goal-getter James Norwood to Oakwell in the summer of 2022 ahead of the Sky Bet League One season.
A career that started in non-league, it was with Forest Green Rovers that the striker first rose to prominence and his impressive displays in Nailsworth saw him move to Tranmere Rovers where close to a hundred goals, at a ratio of a goal every other game helped the club from Merseyside to return to the EFL.
His prolific form continued at Ipswich Town in League One, when given the opportunity and the Reds were quick to add the experienced forward to the Barnsley ranks ahead of the new campaign.
Once up to speed after a difficult pre-season, Norwood began to make an indelible impact at Oakwell, helping the Reds to the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final, creating a number of goals whilst finding the net himself on 11 occasions.
