BRAD COLLINS

Southampton-born goalkeeper Brad Collins joined the Reds in the summer of 2019 after the expiration of his contract at London giants Chelsea FC.

The young stopper arrived off the back of an outstanding season on-loan in the third tier with Burton Albion.

An FA Youth Cup winner with Chelsea, Collins also spent a year on loan in 2017/18 with Forest Green Rovers.

Making over 20 appearances in his debut season at Oakwell, Collins adapted well to life in the second tier, but was soon having to deputise for Jack Walton before finally establishing himself as number one in the 2020/21 campaign, helping the Reds reach the end-of-season play-offs.

Despite the club's fortunes changing dramatically the following year, Collins was still earning rave reviews during the 2021/22 season, in which Barnsley were relegated from the Championship, with him eventually voted Player of the Season by supporters.

He was having another strong campaign the following year before an injury in early February saw him replaced by loanee Harry Isted. The latter's good form saw him remain between the sticks as the Reds reached the Play-Off Final at Wembley.
