We can confirm that Brad Collins has today joined Sky Bet Championship outfit Coventry City for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old arrived at Oakwell in June 2019, going onto make 117 appearances for the Reds, keeping 33 clean sheets between the sticks.
Khaled El-Ahmad, Barnsley FC CEO, said: “With one-year left on Brad’s deal at Oakwell, we felt it made sense to honour his wishes and allow him to leave.
“Brad has been a great player for this football Club and has pushed the standard of our goalkeeping department during his time at Oakwell.
“We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours and thank him for his efforts.”
Collins expressed his appreciation towards the Reds faithful: “It has been a pleasure to represent this Club for the past four years.
“There have been a lot of ups and downs, but a special thanks must go to the fans who have supported me until the end.
“I want to wish the boys and the new gaffer all the best for the coming season.”
