We take a look at the man tasked with controlling our fixture at the City Ground as the Reds travel to face Nottingham Forest.
Merseyside-based official Robert Jones has been appointed referee for Tuesday night's clash with Forest in the rearranged Sky Bet Championship fixture.
One of the youngest officials in the Football League, Jones' career in the professional game began in 2014, controlling games in the National League.
He is yet to be involved in a fixture involving Nottingham Forest, but has taken charge of three Reds games previously. Last season's 1-1 draw with Brentford at Oakwell, the 1-0 away win at Sunderland on New Year's Day and most recently, March's 2-1 defeat away at Cardiff City.
