Hourihane back on International duty!

Skipper gets second Ireland call-up..

Following his continued good form for the Reds, Conor Hourihane has been called up to the provisional Republic of Ireland squad as the ‘Boys In Green’ continue their World Cup qualifying campaign with an away trip to Austria on the 12th November.

The EFL Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for August is statistically the top-performing player in the division and returns to the Reds squad this weekend after sitting out Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Bristol City through suspension.

He will then link up once more with Martin O’Neill’s squad, this time hoping to make the final cut and make his bow as a full international having already represented his country at various youth levels.

Ireland face their Austrian hosts on Saturday 12th November in Vienna sitting joint-top of Group D after three games played.

We will keep you updated on Conor’s progress next week across all of our social media platforms, but in the meantime, if you’re wanting to support the Skipper and his teammates this weekend at Burton Albion and haven’t yet got your ticket, please be aware that we have just a handful remaining and these are standing only.
