ZEKI FRYERS
A highly-rated player in his younger days, Fryers has spent time with some mammoth clubs and gone for big fees in his short career so far, but arrived at Oakwell in the summer of 2017 looking to get regular first team football.
A graduate of the Academy system at Manchester United, Zeki has also had spells with Spurs, Standard Liege and Crystal Palace but a lack of competitive action saw him decide to team up with the Reds, signing a three-year deal in July 2017.
The left-back quickly became a regular first team pick, scoring his first goal for Barnsley with a free-kick against Birmingham City at Oakwell.
Dropped out of contention in the summer of 2018 after three months on the sidelines with an ankle injury, and used only sparringly as the Reds finished 2nd to earn promotion in May of 2019.
