Signed towards the end of 2017, Victor arrived at Oakwell following a hugely successful trial period, despite a number of other interested suitors.
Signing a three-year deal, Adeboyejo turned down other clubs to link up with the Reds and he fired in 18 goals for the U23s during the 2017/18 campaign.
The powerful frontman forced his way into the first team the following season, scoring on his debut against Oxford United and backing that up with further strikes as he established himself as a regular in the Reds squad of 2018/19.
Victor then had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Cambridge United as the Reds returned to the second tier, but re-emerged as a first teamer at Oakwell under the tutelage of Valérien Ismaël, notably grabbing vital goals at Derby and in a home win over Preston as Barnsley reached the end-of-season play-offs.
The striker - out of contract in the summer of 2022 - appeared in more than half of the games played in the 2021/22 season, but missed a big chunk through injury in the second half of the campaign as the Reds were relegated.
