MALLIK WILKS
Talented forward Mallik Wilks arrived at Oakwell during the summer of 2019, signing a four-year contract with the Reds.
Having progressed through the youth system at Yorkshire rivals Leeds United before making his professional debut with the Elland Road outfit, Wilks' breakthrough season came in 2018/19 whilst on-loan with Doncaster Rovers.
His sparkling performances in Sky Bet League One with Rovers saw him become hot property at the end of that campaign and it was Barnsley who beat off stiff competition to add him to their ranks ahead of their return to the second tier.
After a difficult start to life at Oakwell and a lack of game-time towards the end of 2019, in January upon the opening of the transfer window, Wilks teamed back up with former Doncaster boss Grant McCann at Hull City, in a loan move until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
