JACOB BROWN

Another product of the Academy at Oakwell, Brown made his first-team debut during the 2016/17 season away at Brentford after scoring goals for fun in the U23s setup.

The Halifax-born striker has had injury issues to contend with in his short career, but the talented forward wasted no time in forcing his way into the first team plans during the summer of 2018 after a successful spell out on loan with Chesterfield.

Brown grabbed his first Reds goal away at Fleetwood Town in the 2018/19 campaign and never looked back.

Bagging eight goals and as many assists as well as an EFL Young Player of the Month award, it's safe to say the young forward had his breakout campaign as Barnsley sealed an immediate return to the Championship.

Released by Sheffield Wednesday as a youngster, Brown was used all over the park under Daniel Stendel early in the 2019/20 season but once positioned back in a forward role under Gerhard Struber, Jacob responded with some outstanding displays, helping the Reds to second tier safety in the process.
