ELLIOT SIMOES
Elliot signed for Barnsley from FC United of Manchester in January 2019 after coming through the ranks at Broadhurst Park.
The dynamic winger scored twice in 23 appearances for FCUM and made a further eight assists as he continued to catch the eye in non-league football.
Originally from Portugal, Elliot spent time with SL Benfica and Sporting CP before moving to England.
Having made his debut against Swansea City in October of 2019, Simoes made another game-changing appearance to help the Reds to a late point against Bristol City in November, as he started to push for a first team spot.
Then came another sub appearance where he grabbed his first professional goal, away at Derby County live on Sky Sports.
He grabbed the winner at QPR and proved a vital performer under the tutelage of Gerhard Struber as the 2019/20 season came to a finish.
The 2020/21 season didn't go as well for Elliot however, failing to kick on under new coach, Valérien Ismaël, he opted to join Doncaster Rovers on-loan where he then struggled for game-time in League One.
