DOMINIK FRIESER

Joining the Reds in the summer of 2020, Austrian forward Dominik Frieser arrived in England after a stellar season with previous club, LASK Linz.

Playing in a wide position, be it on the left or right flank, or often centrally up front, Frieser scored 10 goals for LASK as they finished fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga and reached the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League.

A product of the Sturm Graz youth system, Dominik had played over 250 games in his homeland before joining Barnsley under the tutelage of compatriot Gerhard Struber ahead of the 2020/21 season.

But after Struber left, Dominik was soon to be coached by his former boss, Valérien Ismaël who used the wide-man regularly, as the Reds made it all the way to the play-off semi-finals.
