CHARLIE WINFIELD

Charlie has been at the Club since November 2012 and signed as a first-year scholar with the Reds in 2018 after impressing at academy level.

Operating as a left-back or central midfielder, he is pacey and tough-tackling, while also able to provide his teammates with goal scoring opportunities from wide positions.

Highly thought of within the academy setup, Charlie's impressive displays haven't gone unnoticed and he has featured regularly for our U23s side during the 2019/20 Professional Development League campaign.

He joined Danish outfit Esbjerg fB in the summer of 2021 on loan and made 16 appearances

Unfortunately, upon his return to Oakwell in December 2021, Charlie suffered a serious knee injury which kept him out for the rest of the campaign.

The left-back eventually made his first team debut in our Carabao Cup first round clash with Tranmere Rovers in August 2023, registering an assist for Aiden Marsh.
