BEN WILLIAMS
A product of the Academy system at Blackburn Rovers, Williams impressed the Reds coaching staff on trial during the 2016/17 campaign, earning a professional contract in July of 2017.
A technically gifted left-back who likes to get forward to support the attack, Ben pushed on from his consistent displays with the U23s and forced his way into first team contention during the 2018/19 Sky Bet League One promotion campaign.
Making an eye-catching debut away at Peterborough in a 4-0 victory, Williams' propensity to 'get stuck in' saw him become a fans favourite as the Reds made an immediate return to the second tier.
A Welsh U21 international now, Williams was a regular in the first team during the 2019/20 campaign, helping the Reds to Championship safety.
An horrific knee injury sustained in pre-season training saw him ruled out of the entire 2020/21 campaign, as he spent the year fighting his way back to fitness.
