AARON LEYA ISEKA
The Belgian forward joined the Reds in the summer of 2021, agreeing a four-year deal after leaving Toulouse.
A former U21 international who has already represented the likes of Anderlecht in his homeland as well as French outfits Marseille and Metz, Aaron arrived in England hoping to make his mark on English football.
After work-permit issues blighted his start to life in England, there was initial optimism around the forward who scored three goals in three games a third of the way into the 2021/22 season. But he struggled for form, and then appearances as Barnsley slipped into League One.
The Belgian moved to Adanaspor in Turkey during the summer of 2022, on a season-long loan deal, but after the devastating earthquake at the start of 2023, and that club's decision to pull out of competition, Aaron's loan agreement was transferred to Tuzlaspor in the same nation.
