JON RUSSELL
The 22-year-old joined the Reds from local rivals Huddersfield Town during the 2023 January transfer window for an undisclosed fee.
An imposing figure in the midfield battleground, Russell joined Chelsea at six-years-old and would spend 13 years in the academy at Stamford Bridge, without ever making a first team appearance.
A fruitful loan spell with Accrington Stanley during the COVID-affected 2020/21 campaign brought him to the attention of Huddersfield.
He joined the Terriers in July of 2021 and played a key role in the club's run to the Sky Bet Championship play-off final that season.
With the Reds in good form, Jon struggled to force his way into the side as they reached the Play-Off Final at Wembley.
