MICHAEL SOLLBAUER
Experienced defender Michael Sollbauer joined the Reds during the 2020 January transfer window, teaming back up with his former coach back in Austria in Gerhard Struber.
Having spent a decade with Wolfsberger AC in his homeland, the centre back made the journey to Oakwell hoping to help Barnsley in their bid to retain their Championship status, signing a deal until 2022.
'Sole' made a superb impact in South Yorkshire, adding vital experience and know-how to the young Reds' backline, as Barnsley pulled off the 'great escape'.
