As part of the EFL's Youth Development Week, highlighting the impact our young players make on English football, we caught up with midfield playmaker Theo Chapman!
Having made his debut in November of 2022, and becoming one of the Reds' youngest ever debutants, that was a decade of hard work in the making. Part of the Academy setup for the majority of his life so far, further first team appearances have been merited this term.
Theo came on as a sub in the opening day 7-0 hammering of Port Vale, then followed that up with more opportunities off the bench before earning his first league start in September of last year against Blackpool at Oakwell.
"I've played in the FA Cup, I made my league debut against Port Vale and then my full debut against Blackpool. It's been amazing to get that experience at such a young age.
"I'm grateful for the faith and opportunities I've been given."
