Ahead of Sunday's fixture against Redcar here at Oakwell, we caught up with defender Stephanie Rigby!
The Reds remain just a point behind league leaders, Wallsend following last Sunday's 4-1 thumping of Sunderland West End on home soil. It's Oakwell again this weekend, as Jess Horsley's side welcome Redcar in a 2pm kick-off on Sunday 24th March.
Rigby can't wait to get back out there, telling us: "We're all looking forward to the game on Sunday. The team has been working hard and we're hoping to build on the win from last week."
Whilst Wallsend have a couple of games in-hand on the Reds and others, all Barnsley can do is focus on their own fixtures and hope the leaders slip up.
As Steph explained: "We are still very much in the title race as we approach the end of the season but we know that we can't drop any points if we want to stay in contention."
The Reds ran out 3-2 winners in the reverse fixture up in Redcar back in October.
On this occasion, Rigby is confident the girls can be more ruthless.
"We made a few mistakes the last time we played Redcar, which allowed them to stay in the game, but I'm confident that this time round we will be clinical and put on a decent show."
