Our midfielder scoops the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for February!
Adam Phillips is named Sky Bet League One Player of the Month after a scintillating February for the Reds.
The 25-year-old netted four goals and contributed three assists across an unbeaten month for Neill Collins' side.
The goals came in the form of two match-winning braces, the first creating a dramatic finish at Oakwell as the Reds took on in-form Leyton Orient. Losing in the 88th minute, Phillips' double in the dying minutes sent the home crowd into raptures and earned an integral victory for the Reds.
A crucial clash against the Rams was the next time our central midfielder was on the scoresheet, once again scoring two goals to secure all three points. The first came in emphatic fashion, Phillips arrowing a sweetly-struck half-volley into the bottom corner before crashing home a corner delivery in the second half to give the Reds the lead.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
On winning the award, our number 30 thanked his teammates and the Reds supporters for their backing:
