VOTE ADAM PHILLIPS AS PFA LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

1 March 2024

Adam Phillips has been nominated for the PFA February League One Player of the Month award - and you can vote for him here!

A scintillating month for our central midfielder sees him recognised for February's accolade, voted for by fans.

Phillips netted four crucial goals last month, as well as assisting twice for his teammates in our victory at Fleetwood Town.

The first of the 25-year-old's goals came against Leyton Orient, the Reds trailing by one goal to nil in the 88th minute, before a miraculous turnaround from Neill Collins' side saw Phillips hit the back of the net twice in seven minutes. The brace made history, becoming the longest time the Reds have been behind in a game and gone on to be victorious.

Our return to Oakwell following the late drama that ensued last time out was against Derby County, billed as a must-win for both sides in the promotion race in Sky Bet League One.

Once again, the Reds would have to secure all three points by coming from behind following Sonny Bradley's headed opener for the Rams, but it was our man again who set the game alight, half-volleying sumptuously into the bottom corner to level proceedings.

Tied at the break, action resumed and not long after the Reds had the lead. In the 66th minute, Phillips rose highest to nod home from a Nicky Cadden corner to spark jubilant scenes at Oakwell. The Reds went on to see out the win and complete an unbeaten month for the team.
