As part of the EFL's Youth Development Week, highlighting the impact our young players make on English football, we caught up with goal-getter Emmaisa Nzondo!
Making his debut as a substitute against Manchester City in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy earlier this season, Emmaisa Nzondo made a name for himself when heading home a goal in front of the Ponty End.
The 18-year-old Yorkshireman has been outstanding in the U18s over the last couple of years and his early impact on the first team stands him in good stead moving forward.
"It's surreal, the last few months for me. I was so happy to even get the nod from the gaffer to come on, but then, to get on and score like that in front of the Reds fans is something I'll never forget.
"I'm blessed to have such an opportunity and I want to learn and hopefully I can keep getting a chance and show that their faith was well placed."
