COLLINS HOPING FOR EASTER MONDAY REACTION

31 March 2024

The Reds boss wants to see a response from his side when travelling to face Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One.

Heading into tomorrow's clash with the Brewers, we now have seven fixtures remaining and 21 points up for grabs going into Easter Monday's encounter at the Pirelli Stadium.

Our Head Coach, Neill Collins feels tomorrow represents an ideal and speedy opportunity to put the frustration of Friday behind them and attack the final month of the campaign.

"As disappointed as were all were with Friday’s result, traveling to Burton is a great opportunity to put things right." He told us ahead of Monday's meeting with another side fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table.

Victory in Burton would break a club record for points gained on the road in a single season. It's that form and the knowledge that another sellout away crowd will be supporting his side against the Brewers which should further motivate a squad looking to respond to recent setbacks.

"It is absolutely great to hear we will be supported by around 1,700 Barnsley fans, in what is another sold out away allocation. We will be looking to continue to build on our fantastic away form in which their support has been integral to our success."
