LOAN ROUND UP | 9 MARCH

11 March 2024

A summary of how our Reds out on loan fared in the weekend's action.

MK Dons hosted Salford City in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday, running out 3-1 winners at Stadium MK. The visitors took the lead in the 12th minute, before Kyran Lofthouse equalised with a strike from the edge of the area. MK added two more before the break and wrapped up all three points.

Callum Styles replaced Dan Ballard for Sunderland after 71 minutes against Southampton at St Mary's, the scores at 2-1. Jobe Bellingham scored for the Black Cats just seconds after the Hungarian's introduction, but the in-form Saints went on to take all three points at home in a 4-2 victory.

Paul Cooper kept a clean sheet against his former side Worksop Town in the Northern Premier League, winning 2-0 and giving the Robins back-to-back wins at Hurst Cross.

Buxton FC defeated Rushall Olympic by three goals to nil at Silverlands, with Joe Ackroyd playing the full game for the Bucks.

Swindon Town found themselves on the wrong side of a tightly-fought affair against Mansfield Town in League Two, losing 3-2 in Nottinghamshire. Conor McCarthy started at the heart of defence for the Robins.

Cheltenham Town suffered a late defeat to Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium, losing out 2-1 in Sky Bet League One. Jack Shepherd played the full 90 minutes for the Robins.

Oldham Athletic were beaten 2-0 away to Aldershot in the National League, Andy Dallas started for the Latics and saw out the duration of the match.

Bradford Park Avenue were beaten at home by Warrington Rylands, the scores finishing 2-1. Kieren Flavell started between the sticks.

Kacper Lopata was not involved for Port Vale as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Shrewsbury Town.
