JOSH EARL ON DEFEAT AGAINST CAMBRIDGE

30 March 2024

Josh Earl spoke to iFollow Barnsley after the Reds were beaten by Cambridge United at Oakwell on Good Friday.

Despite the Reds dominating possession and having 17 shots on goal, it was the visitors who found the all-important goals via a defensive mix-up at the back and a Gassan Ahadme header from a U's free-kick delivery.

Cambridge running out 2-0 winners, Earl assessed the action for iFollow Barnsley:

"I think we've just been sucker-punched twice to two rubbish goals on our part. The first one is a freak goal and sometimes it just happens in football, there is not much you can do about it. The second one, again, is just a rubbish goal on our part. I thought the lads played really well at times, I thought we all played really well during some points of the game. We're all obviously disappointed with the result."

The full interview with Josh Earl is now over on iFollow Barnsley.
