MAEL DE GEVIGNEY AHEAD OF IMPS CLASH

7 March 2024

The Frenchman spoke to the media ahead of the visit of Lincoln City to Oakwell this weekend.

ON CURRENT FORM

"We are on pretty good form. In the last few months I think we are doing well. We have had great results and we are trying to achieve our objective. We are in good form."

POST-BOLTON REFLECTIONS

"Obviously, after the game we were disappointed with the result because we were winning 2-0. We concede two goals, one at the end of the game, it was hard to concede. It's a good point, we have to move on. We have 11 games remaining and they are all really important. We're still in the race for promotion."

ON BARNSLEY CAREER SO FAR

"I'm feeling good. Since I have been here I felt good. I do my best to help the team. The gaffer asks me to play with confidence. I'm thankful to my partners and everybody at the Club. I'm trying to do my best every game whenever I'm on the pitch. I think I'm doing alright and I want to continue like this until the end of the season."

ON DEFENSIVE UNIT

"We all know how we have to play. We all do the same meetings together, all the centre-backs, all the players. Whoever it is, he knows what he has to do and I think that's why we're doing well even if we are changing. We are communicating a lot. I feel good if I play in the middle or on the right, it's okay. I have to talk a lot with Donovan because he is new but that's okay, he's doing a great job. Same for Josh [Earl], he is doing a really good job since he is here. I'm happy with this."

ON LINCOLN CITY

"It's going to be a really tough game. They are doing really great in the last games. They didn't play this week so we have to expect a really tough game but we are going to do our best, playing with intensity and showing them that we want to win."
