Neill Collins spoke to iFollow Barnsley after the Reds were defeated at Oakwell by Lincoln City.
The Imps hit five on Saturday afternoon, with Adam Phillips grabbing a consolation goal 13 minutes from time.
The result succumbed the Reds to their second defeat since November and extended Lincoln's 11-game unbeaten streak. Collins expressed his thoughts for iFollow Barnsley after the game:
"It will take a little bit of digesting," began our Head Coach. "We certainly didn't expect that result or scoreline, and we certainly didn't expect the performance. The game had a lot of different aspects to it. But I think with the start, we got we deserved due to the start that we had. It's unfortunately been a common theme and we were just littered with mistakes."
