Barnsley Football Club can confirm that defender Conor McCarthy will join Swindon Town on loan until the end of the season.
The Irishman will spend the rest of the 23/24 campaign at the County Ground, the Robins currently sitting 15th in Sky Bet League Two.
A popular figure at Oakwell since arriving in June 2022, McCarthy suffered a serious knee injury in just his 11th appearance for the Club against Charlton Athletic that September.
Enduring a tough rehabilitation period, McCarthy made his comeback a year later against Grimsby Town in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, captaining the side to a 2-0 victory.
The centre-half went on to make two more appearances for the Reds in the same competition and now looks to add to his minutes for the campaign with the Robins.
