Our in-form forward has two separate goals in the running for the December award!
You can vote for John McAtee and help him pick up another trophy after an outstanding December for the Reds.
Vote for Macca here at EFL.com.
The nominees are as follows:
Marcus McGuane – OXFORD UNITED v Burton Albion – 16th December
As McGuane proved here, there is something majestic about a shot from outside the box that is angled from one side of the goal and travels across it before finding the opposite top corner.
John McAtee – BARNSLEY v Stevenage – 23rd December
Chasing onto a bouncing pass, McAtee seemed to have nowhere to go. But, with Stevenage keeper Taye Ashby-Hammond racing off his line, he adroitly executed a no-look, hooked lob.
Ollie Norburn – BLACKPOOL v Bristol Rovers – 23rd December
Norburn’s first thought with the ball bouncing around was to touch it away from a Rovers defender. His second? To strike it with such explosive power, it was still rising as it hit the net.
John McAtee – Port Vale v BARNSLEY – 26th December
Him again. The 24-year-old demands inclusion with a second entry because of the undiluted ferocity of his strike and the audacity with which he chose to shoot from 30+ yards at Vale Park.
Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal on EFL.com before 5pm on Monday 15 January.
The supporters' votes will be combined with the choices from a panel to determine the winners.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman & David Prutton.
