NICKY CADDEN AHEAD OF STEVENAGE CLASH

18 January 2024

Nicky Cadden spoke to the media ahead of our trip to Stevenage this Saturday in Sky Bet League One.

REFLECTIONS ON VICTORY OVER CARLISLE

"It was strange. Credit to Carlisle, they came here and made it difficult for us. It's going to happen in the league, because we're up near the top. People want to try and get points against us. It's a sign of a good team when you get three points when you're not playing at your best so we're delighted with the win."

ON COMPETITION FOR PLACES

"I respect the manager's decision. I just need to come on the pitch and show what I can do. There's always competition in football, someone wanting to take your shirt. It's on you to keep it and stay in the game and do well. I think I've been doing well and I need to keep going."

ON NEXT COUPLE OF GAMES

"We just want to get as many points as possible and get a good performance in. Send the fans home happy."

ON STEVENAGE

"It's going be tough. They're going to make it difficult for us. It's going to be a small pitch, but they have got people that can hurt us and good players. We need to be on the ball and hopefully we can get the win."
