Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Callum Styles has joined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy in the summer.
The 23-year-old will link up with the Black Cats in the Sky Bet Championship for the remainder of the 23/24 campaign.
Styles has made 22 appearances for the Reds this campaign, scoring three goals and making five appearances on the international scene with Hungary.
Interim Director of Football, Bobby Hassell, commented on the deal: “Callum expressed a desire to leave the Club and play at a higher level in the second half of this season.
“We respected Callum’s wishes, which we felt was beneficial for all parties as we look to push on and achieve our goals for this season at Barnsley.”
