Josh Earl spoke to iFollow Barnsley after making his debut against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Our deadline day recruit made his full debut for the Reds in Greater Manchester at the club he spent a period on loan at whilst at Preston North End.
Having had a training session in the bag with his teammates on Friday morning, Neill Collins placed his faith in the defender against the Trotters and he delivered a professional performance in his first outing for the Reds.
Earl felt that despite being on top in large periods in the game, a draw was a good result given the context of the two sides' form and league positions.
"I think overall, it was probably a good result," began the 25-year-old. "Looking back on it, we had a few chances which we should have took and it could have been 3 or 4-1 in the end. But to come to a good team like this, away from home, I think it's a good point, yes."
