MAEL DE GEVIGNEY PREVIEWS SHREWSBURY TRIP

12 February 2024

Maël de Gevigney spoke to the media ahead of the Reds' clash with Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening.

ON VICTORY OVER LEYTON ORIENT

"Massive win. At the end of the game, all the support from the fans, it was a big feeling at the end. I was really proud of what we accomplished but we have to keep going like this."

ON CURRENT LEAGUE POSITION

"The table is really tight. We are focusing on each game. The most important game is tomorrow against Shrewsbury. If we win it, we're going to focus on the next game. At the end we will see where we are in the table, but of course our goal is to achieve promotion. We know that we have the players, the staff and Club to do it. We will keep pushing."

ON HOW THE FRENCHMAN IS FINDING LIFE AT OAKWELL

"This is what I came for. I knew that it was a team that will fight for the promotion. I already have been promoted and it is the best feeling ever in football. I'm doing my best and enjoying it every week, win after win. It's a really good feeling and we want to achieve this amazing thing that is promotion."

ON SHREWSBURY TOWN

"At home we played really well against them. They will want to beat us! But it's going to be a really tough game away against a good team who got a draw this weekend against Derby. It will be a really difficult game but we have to be really compact, have a really good mentality and play with intensity like we did in the last games."
