Our Head Coach spoke to iFollow Barnsley after the Reds ran out 2-1 winners against Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One.
Barnsley recorded their ninth victory on the road this campaign on Saturday after overcoming a battling Fleetwood side on the Fylde coast.
Sam Cosgrove netted his second goal in a Reds shirt via a well-taken header inside the area, before Herbie Kane responded to Bosun Lawal's powerful strike with a sweeping finish into the bottom corner just before the hour mark.
Our Head Coach emphasised the importance of the result in tough conditions in Fleetwood:
"The players got the job done," affirmed Collins. "The main aim today was three points, we didn't want any hard luck stories. I thought the other night we probably deserved three, but the players I thought stood up to the conditions and what Fleetwood threw at us very well. It was so difficult. We're not going to over-analyse any part of the performance, although I thought as the game went on we just looked better and better. In the end we deserved it."
