Neill Collins provided his reaction to our victory over Derby County at Oakwell for iFollow Barnsley.
The Reds ran out 2-1 winners in front of a 18,000 strong crowd at home against fellow promotion rivals Derby thanks to a consecutive brace at Oakwell for Adam Phillips.
The visitors took the lead through Sonny Bradley's header but the scores were level not long after thanks to a stunning half-volley from Phillips nestled in the corner of Joe Wildsmith's goal.
It was our first goalscorer who edged the Reds in front with a bullet header at the near post after a pacy, inswinging corner delivery by Nicky Cadden.
On the day where Donovan Pines made his full debut for the Club, the Reds saw out the lead to secure a big three points in League One, much to the pleasure of our Head Coach:
"That was Oakwell at its best today," praised the Scot. "We had the takeover day for Weston Park Cancer Charity which is a big part of what the club is all about, it's great when you win on a day like that. But regardless, it's huge to support that, but I'm just glad that the people that came out to see us today saw a great team performance, a good three points, a good game. Hopefully, they all come back for the home games from now up until the end of the season."
