BARNSLEY FOODBANK DONATION POINT AGAINST ROYALS

8 April 2024

We will host a food donation point at Oakwell when we take on Reading on Saturday 13 April.

In conjunction with Barnsley FC Community Trust, we re-launch our 'Reds Against Hunger' campaign when we welcome the Royals in Sky Bet League One this weekend.

The donation point will be situated in our OZone centre (next to main reception) and will be open from 12:30pm ahead of kick-off on Saturday. Supporters are invited to donate in-date, non-perishable food items for Barnsley Foodbank.

Unable to attend the upcoming clash at Oakwell? The Barnsley FC Community Trust reception will also be a designated drop-off point in the week leading up to the game.

The Barnsley Foodbank is seeded by the Trussell Trust and is working towards stopping hunger in the local area. The Reds against Hunger campaign was set up to get Barnsley fans involved in supporting the work the Foodbank do for families living in food poverty.

Our Barnsley FC Community Trust post-16 students also take on monthly volunteer slots in the Foodbank warehouse as part of the campaign, helping the effort that no-one in our community faces hunger.

For more information about Barnsley Foodbank’s work please visit their website here.

Reds Men's First Team players Aiden Marsh and Conor Grant recently visited Barnsley Foodbank to discover more about the work they do in our community.
