Martin Devaney spoke to the media ahead of the Reds hosting Northampton Town in Sky Bet League One this Saturday.
ON INTERIM ROLE
"My focus is Saturday. That's all I'm concerned about is Saturday. It's a Club that is so close to my heart and I want to go and do well and I know the boys do. I know how important it is for the fans and everyone at this football club. As a team and myself, we're really looking forward to this opportunity on Saturday."
ON MENTAL APPROACH TO THE GAME
"It's in our hands, the play-offs. That's the platform the lads want to be playing in. There are thousands of people watching, that's why you play football. There is pressure, but that's why the players are in this industry. You thrive on that pressure. The lads are really looking forward to the game, they're all great lads. They've all been really positive this week. I'm sure, like myself, they can't wait to get going."
ON IMPORTANCE OF COMING TOGETHER
"We've got to get on with tomorrow. Everyone coming together, which I know they will. We'll be doing our best, absolute best, giving 100% to make sure we've got that result come the end of the game.
"When the chips are down, this fantastic football club, the fans, everyone comes together. And it's really important tomorrow we bring that energy, bring that determination, and that positivity. It's in our hands. And it's about all of us together tomorrow."
ON NORTHAMPTON
"There is never an ideal opponent. They're professional footballers, they're going to want to win a game. We're going to know what strengths they've got, but my real focus is on us and what we're going to do."
