NEILL COLLINS PREVIEWS ADDICKS TRIP

4 April 2024

Our Head Coach looked ahead to our trip to the capital in Sky Bet League One to face Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

INJURIES AHEAD OF THE TRIP

"Right now we're looking pretty positive. Robbie Cundy was scheduled to be involved on Monday at Burton but he picked up a little tweak in his hamstring. That's still progressing, possibly he will be back in time. Apart from that, everything else is positive."

ON WINNING POINTS FROM BEHIND

"It's funny how you're asking me that question when it was only seven months ago we were getting told that the club hadn't came back in two years or so. It says a lot about the players and their ability to stay calm, ability to just show that resilience. Equally, we have came from behind a lot because we've gone behind a lot. We hope that we can stop doing that."

ON CHARLTON ATHLETIC

"This is a real dangerous one because where they're at right now, is not, in correlation to their league position. Yes, they've had a lot of draws. They've drawn at Bolton, drawn at Portsmouth, beaten Derby, so that just gives you an idea of their record against the top teams since Nathan has taken charge. It's going to be a really difficult game, but a good game, and probably the type of game we need. Go away from home and test ourselves and good opposition. Lot of good players. Slightly different to the games we've had recently I think."

ON TABLE POSITION

"Automatic promotion is still on if you win games. It's up to us to go and win at Charlton, it's still on if we win games, as simple as that. You have to win games. It's not about Derby dropping points, it's about us picking up points and putting us in position to be there if anything changes. That just means we have to go to Charlton and go and get another three points."
