The Reds' record-breaking away unbeaten run came to an end in the capital on Saturday afternoon, with the league's top scorer Alfie May netting a brace at the Valley.
Midfielder Adam Phillips levelled proceedings briefly in the opening half from the spot for his eighth goal of the campaign, but Collins' side left empty-handed for the first time on the road since travelling to Derby County way back in November.
"We had a stonewall penalty turned down (a challenge on Devante Cole after 11 minutes) and we've seen it back now, Fábio Jaló was at least a yard onside," Neill explained. "So we're not happy with some of the decisions but of course there are things we need to do better ourselves too.
"It's about responding to this now, and we've that opportunity on Tuesday night."
