The Reds defender's thoughts after an impressive three points in the North East.
After a victory that saw Barnsley bring their title ambitions back into their own hands, we caught up with Beth Ayrton who helped earn her side another clean sheet on the road.
"It was a great performance from the team today." Beth told us post-match.
"We showed dominance and quality throughout to come away with the win. Sunderland were up for it, but we battled well as a team and kept our composure on the ball to create chances and secure the three points."
Attention now returns to the League Cup and Wednesday's semi-final at Oakwell against Ossett United. Fighting on two fronts is both exciting and challenging. But Beth feels the squad is well-prepared to attack both competitions.
"The girls were in high spirits and on form from last week's win, and we are ready to take it back onto the training ground this week.
"As a team we are ready for the rest of our games in both the league and the cup, and to continue our winning ways!"
