Barnsley Football Club is pleased to announce the addition of Owen Dodgson from Premier League outfit Burnley FC on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old left wing-back has spent pre-season with the Clarets working under Vincent Kompany, scoring against Portuguese champions Benfica.
Rochdale was the destination for the Manchester United youth graduate for the second half of last season, missing just one game under former Reds defender Jimmy McNulty.
Khaled El-Ahmad, CEO of Barnsley FC, commented: “We are pleased to bring Owen to Oakwell.
“He is a young player who will continue his development while providing competition within our squad.”
Our latest recruit is determined to make an impact in the next stage of his career: “I’m very happy to be here. When the opportunity came about, I had to jump on it. I’m looking forward to the season.”
Welcome to Oakwell, Owen!
