Owen Dodgson spoke to iFollow Barnsley after the Reds defeated Northampton Town 2-1 at Sixfields on Saturday afternoon.
The 20-year-old was named in the starting eleven for the first time in a Sky Bet League One game after arriving from Premier League outfit Burnley until the end of the season.
From left wing-back, the youngster was pleased with his day's work and to take the three points back to Oakwell.
"Yeah I'm really happy. The most important thing is coming away with a win. Myself individually as well, I thought I did well. Like I said, when I first joined I've got much more to show. I've just got to keep working hard in training and in the games performing.
"Myself, being a young lad, coming here on a season-long loan, I know what I need to do. It's big at a club like Barnsley to be starting. Getting a win, that's brilliant as well. I've just got to keep doing what I'm doing."
