Nicky Cadden wins August's Goal of the Month competition for his strike against Bristol Rovers.
The Scotsman claims the opening accolade of the 23/24 season, in association with ngDecor.
The goal came in our 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers, our first away trip of the season, with the 26-year-old breaking the deadlock at the Memorial Stadium.
A high press allowed the Reds to dispossess the home side and Devante Cole played the ball forward to Max Watters centrally, before he passed wide on the left to Cadden.
Driving into the area, our award-winner smashed an effort from a tight angle into the roof of the net to open the scoring.
Our number 7 spoke to iFollow Barnsley upon winning the award: "I want to thank everyone who voted for me and hopefully that was just the first strike of many this season!"
Well done, Nicky!
