JORDAN WILLIAMS AHEAD OF SHREWS CLASH

23 October 2023

Jordan Williams answered questions ahead of the Reds' midweek clash with Shrewsbury Town at Oakwell.

ON LEYTON ORIENT RESULT

"In the first-half we weren't at our best. Obviously, we were on the counter attack and then they countered attack our counter attack and got a penalty. That was tough to take, but I think we came out in the second half and I think we showed a different side to the first-half. We got back in the game and got opportunities to win the game. On the whole, probably a fair point, but a good point at a tough place."

ON BEN KILLIP

"It's big losing a player like Liam. But obviously Ben has come in and he's done well at the weekend. Didn't put a foot wrong. I know what he's capable of, he's been excellent in training, deserves his chance and now he's got a chance. It's time for him to keep performing and doing well.

ON LEADERSHIP ROLE WITHIN THE SQUAD

"From where I've come from to where I am now I think I've grown into a different human, different person. Being the captain, it's an honour to be that. Hopefully I'm showing it on the pitch and growing every week, trying to push the lads and that's the aim for myself."

ON SHREWSBURY TOWN

"We've not been good enough at home, I'll put it out there. But I think obviously, like I said, we're still learning, we're going to improve. So stick with us and keep backing us and I think it will come good. We've got a big game tomorrow night and I think we can go out there and implement our style. Play how we want to play, aggressive, attacking football. Hopefully we can do that and get the win."
