Ben Killip spoke to the media ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Fleetwood Town at Oakwell.
ON TUESDAY NIGHT VICTORY
"Yeah, it was brilliant. First league match at home for Barnsley, so. It was fantastic to get a win, clean sheet and a good performance from the team to push up the table."
ON COMING INTO THE TEAM
"It's been good. Training has been really good ever since I've come in for pre-season. The training we're doing, the sessions with Tom and the group. Playing in the cup games have been good and to have an opportunity to go out there and show what I can do. Stake a claim for a place in the team."
ON DEFENCE IN FRONT OF HIM
"They were fantastic on Tuesday night. They're obviously three very good defenders and footballers. You can see from our defensive record this season and especially the last few games. For Mael, it's a big step up to come from France to England it's a completely different game. Jordan's obviously played a lot of games and knows his position well and so does Jamie who has played a lot of games in Scotland and England. They were all fantastic."
ON FLEETWOOD TOWN
"They've come off the back of a really good win. They've had a difficult start to the season, changed managers. They've always been a strong side in League One for the last however many years. I don't see anyone at the club thinking they should be any different. They're not a club that wants to fight relegation in League One. They've got players that are better than that and it's going to be a good game. We've got to come out again and take the game to them. Try and get an early goal and go and win the game."
