NEILL COLLINS PREVIEWS LEYTON ORIENT TRIP

19 October 2023

Neill Collins spoke to the press ahead of this Saturday's trip to Leyton Orient in Sky Bet League One.

ON INTERNATIONAL BREAK

"It's been great, in terms of it probably came at the best possible time. Considering what happened on the way back from Exeter. Had we been playing that week, it would have made it difficult considering the impact it had in terms of equipment and just how it disrupted us, so that's been good. The players got some time off, we've been able to work on the training pitch. Obviously, we'll find out more on the Saturday and in the coming weeks, but I think we've made best use of it."

ON TRAINING

"I think it was good to touch bases on two or three main aspects. You're always looking at what we're doing out of possession, what we're doing in possession and then get a couple of details right. I think it's trying to continue to do things we've done well. We're organised, we've started restricting teams a bit better, creating chances. We've been able to spend more time with the players, doing some video work. Not one specific part of the game, but trying to learn some lessons and try and continue to make sure they don't happen again."

ON CALLUM STYLES

"I've spoke to him, he's really happy. He's played both games, two good results. They're all but qualified, huge achievement. It's great for us as a club to have someone that's playing such big games and looking forward to getting him back in tomorrow. We've given him the day off to recover because it's a lot when you're travelling and playing. Whilst we were all enjoying a couple of days off, he's working hard!"

ON LEYTON ORIENT

"Very difficult. Watched them last week against Carlisle. Great result. They've been on a really good run of form. They're really hard to beat. Very good manager who plays a really attractive style of football. So it will be a really good game. I think their fans will be really up for it. It always feels this way, but it will be one of our biggest tests to date. I think just with where they're at. Good challenge."
