Neill Collins was really pleased with his side's performance in a 3-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town, he told iFollow Barnsley.
The Reds were awarded their first penalty at Oakwell since April 2022 which was dispatched confidently by Herbie Kane in the 19th minute, added to by a lovely team move finished by Callum Styles on his return from international duty on 23 minutes.
Devante Cole then added a third in the second half, finishing with aplomb when one-on-one to make it four without loss in Sky Bet League One for the Reds.
Our Head Coach was keen to reward the Oakwell faithful, with his side enjoying their exploits on the road so far this campaign.
"The biggest thing was to reward our home fans with a performance and three points. Then of course, we just want to keep our momentum going, so really good."
The game was put to bed by Cole in the 75th minute, slotting home calmly past Marko Marosi to bring up double figures for the campaign.
Collins is confident that as long as our number 44 continues with his drive to score goals and work for the team, further success will follow for the frontman.
"I'm really pleased for him because I know how much Devante wants to score. For me, I thought his all-round performance was really positive. Working before with strikers like that, as long as they're getting chances, as long as they're doing the work for the team, I know the goals come. Pleased that he got his tenth goal of the season, it's a great mark to be at, but we want to add a lot more."
We're back at Oakwell this Saturday as we face Fleetwood Town in league action, kicking off at 3pm.
