Nicky Cadden spoke to iFollow Barnsley after we secured a 4-0 victory against Cambridge United in Sky Bet League One.
On his return to the side, the Scot opened the scoring inside ten minutes with a pin-point, drilled finish into the bottom corner which was then followed up by an assist from a corner delivery for Mael de Gevigney.
Cadden felt it was important to show a reaction following the disappointment of Saturday's result at Oakwell.
"Yeah, delighted. Obviously, we wanted to make things right from Saturday and I think we've done that and took things on board. Good performance and a great win."
The Reds soaked up some pressure from the hosts following the restart, with the U's looking to mount a fightback after finding themselves two goals down at the break.
However, Cambridge didn't breach the Barnsley defence for the 90 minutes thanks to the combined efforts of Liam Roberts and the backline.
Cadden says the mentality on display from the team is evident in the efforts shown depsite holding a comfortable lead.
"You could see that at the end. We all showed desire to keep the ball out of the net and Robbo's made a few good saves as well. That's a really pleasing thing for us, we're not just celebrating goals, we're celebrating blocks, Robbo's saves. It's a big part of football getting clean sheets, because with the ability we've got in there we'll score goals and obviously win matches."
